College is in a unique position to offer education particularly in the rural
and land based sector. Our courses range from First Diploma, National Diploma, Higher National Diploma through to BSs degrees. Our Courses cover the areas of : Agriculture, Agricultural Management, Agricultural Business, Agricultural Engineering, Land Management, Countryside Management, Horticulture, Business, Tourism and Leisure, Rural Tourism, Art, 3D Art and Design, Engineering, Animal Care, Small Animal Care, Equestrian Studies, Horse Management, Horse Science, Equestrian Science, Rural Studies, Conservation, Environmental Studies, Environmental Management, Agricultural Mechanics, Food Studies, Cooking, Creative Cooking, Ornithology, Sport, Floristry and Interior Design. The College is based in a rural setting which includes a 350 hectare farm. The livestock raised on the farm includes diary cows, calves, cattle, beef cattle, pigs, swine, piglets, boars, sows, sheep, lambs, rams, rabbits, guinea pigs, some of which are raised with a view to intensive agriculture some extensive agriculture. The crops grown on the farm include, wheat, barley, oil seed rape, morning primrose, grass, grassland, potatoes, sugar beet, linseed, rye, oats, fodder beet, turnips, stubble turnips. The college uses a huge range of farm machinery from manufacturers such as Ford, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, Kubota, Class, Grimme, International Harvester, Weeks, Fosters. |
